Carol Lapari
Add Color to Your Light
Carol lives and designs in a lovely small
town just north of New Orleans and has
lived in Louisiana much of her life.
After falling in love with the fabulous
colors of glass, she earned a BFA in
Stained Glass at LSU and has been
constructing stained glass panels in the
classic leaded form for over twenty years.
She alone executes all of her original, one-
of-a-kind designs, and her panels are
constructed with glass made in the antique,
mouth-blown fashion. This is the most
beautiful glass in existence, filled with
bubbles that catch the light and bring the
panel to life. As the light changes
throughout the day, so do the panel’s color-
a work constantly in flux.
In addition to stained glass, Carol paints in
watercolor and oil. Her subjects range
from the abstract, to geometric, and
representational. She is fond of painting
from nature as well as her imagination and
as always, her work is filled with color.
Carol is a member of Fort Isabel Gallery
in Covington, La.
Her work is represented regionally in
collections all across Louisiana, in New
York, New Jersey, New Hampshire; in
France, Belgium, and Switzerland.
